Demand Response Management System (DRMS)

n Q3 2012, a West Coast Utility’s Demand Response (DR) Department determined that the current technology-based assets that supported their DR programs were unsuited for expansion. In many instances, they were exclusively manual stand-alone applications.

The vision was to implement a scalable enterprise DRMS that was capable of meeting the utility’s multi-program needs. The initial solution selection focused exclusively on the re-platform of the SmartAC program.

Migrate the SmartAC program into the new DRMS platform
Integrated DRMS to CAISO market platform
Redesigned and implemented market integration process (e.g., Enrollment, Registration, Bidding, Award and Dispatch, Settlement, and event participation)
